My Spring Fling....with Coral

Joy of Joys we have had a solid 6 day run of sun in Dublin City. Walking to and from work each day without the need of an umbrella or coat has been pure bliss. It has also had quite an effect on my shopping habits and colour choices. Fluoro, bold brights are calling my name..bye bye grey, black and white...that is until every paper in Dublin decided to announce today that cold weather is fast approaching and ' a high possibility of sleet or snow'...damn the effects of that ozone layer! Fashion Forecast: A swift return to wool coats, scarves and boots...

This week I have been mostly loving....
Zara Suede Sandals

I have lusted after these for some time, planning outfits based on some blogger's looks...so when they arrived in my local Zara I just had to have them...for €40 and two other shades to choose from...I may have to make another trip:)

Also available in plain black or a blue/green combo

I plan to keep them up for sunny days and wear with denim shorts & whimsical silk blouses....

Neon bright jewellery...

COS Coral Jersey Top
Speckled to perfection with casual turned up sleeves

Trying out my new beauty products...

I am already sold on the cleansing oil so dying to try their uv mousse & liquid eyeliner

A Recession Friendly Scent....

My bedside locker contains two fragrances which I jump between Jo Malone Lime, Basil & Mandarin..& Flowerbomb....when my sister told me she had found an identical but cheaper version of Flowerbomb I didn't believe her..but trust me Zara Peony is it! A purse friendly €10 a bottle,  I have started to pop it is in my handbag for work (keeping my more expensive bottles for weekends & nights out).
I have already received lots of lovely compliments when I wear it!

Sunny lunch breaks in the St Stephen's Green....
though they aren't the same since my mate Minky left for
London Town...now I have to make conversations with the ducks
QUACK

Sitting on my balcony thinking life isn't that bad...Night Night

Waking up all weekend to sunny skies automatically lifts your mood. In Dublin this type of weather is a rarity so once it arrives we make the most of it. Which is why this weekend I have been out and about. Sitting al fresco sipping coffee's, lazing in the park with the boyfriend reading the paper's and going mexican for dinner!

It may be a case of too much sun to my head...but after months of looking for my new hair cut I found inspiration from the last person I ever thought I would VB...yes good old Vicky and her usual bob/extensions has gone au naturel (or as close to natural as is in her vocabulary) and for once I think she has got it right. The plastic look has disappeared, her clothing kept simple, neck simply adorned with a fine gold chain. It's amazing that this made me look at her more than her normal EVERYBODY LOOK AT ME outfits of the past. Perhaps she has finally realised that if she is ever to be accepted by the real queen bee...no not Anna Wintour - Suri Cruise & her burrrrrn book she needs to start playing ball.

Already thinking about my Summer wardrobe...
Blogger Zina works the shorts look

Will pair these black Topshop flats...

with my fabulous new Zara silk shorts...

Another Selected Femme addition...
screams summer with broderie anglaise detailing

Lately I have been indulging way too much...
It all started last weekend on Mother's Day
(Thanks to Mum's cake baking skills)

Brunch with the boy...chorizo & black pudding
DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVINE

A day lazing in the park, watching the world go by
gave us quite an appetite....so with some rose I rustled
up a little mexican surprise:)

Mother's Day

Just about to leave for family dinner in my Mum's. So excited to spoil her with gifts as lately I seem to be spoiling one person ME! So with that said It's time to go...with a very sore head from yesterdays St Patricks Day festivities! I have to drag myself out of bed, wash, change and take some nicely chilled bottles of prosecco out of the fridge to celebrate and/or fix me:)

Treats for Mum....

This week I have been mostly....

Pampering...visits to the hairdresser's for some beachy waves

The most relaxing pedicure ever....

Got way too excited when this sold out blazer appeared in MY size
...justified buying it by saying 'it was a sign' ha!

Selected Femme...it's all about the texture

A return trip to Bow to get these beautiful rose gold stacking rings
- they sit perfectly beside my
current one

Spent way too much money in Zara

My obsession with rose gold expands to my handbag
- I can just picture me carrying this & wearing my hat for
summer holidays...pity I will be boarding a Ryanair plane &
 not a private jet:)

When a work mate arrived into the office sporting this
crochet collared top...I was practically half way up the street
determined to buy it :)

Oh but it didn't stop there...no no no
Then came the shoes!

First I snapped up these nude woven flats...
they look lovely with tanned feet, denim jeans, a blazor
& a plain top...

Waiting the arrival of these bad boys...
be still my beating heart:)

Online shopping better but worth the wait!
